Two men rob modeling audition at Hilton Chicago Hotel

Two robbers stuck-up a modeling audition Sunday night at the Hilton Chicago Hotel and got away with about $20,000, police said.

At 10:45 p.m, two men, one wielding a gun, bound nine models and employees of the Harvey Star Washington agency with duct tape and stole the audition proceeds, police said. Police did not release a detailed description of the robbers.

The robbery occurred in the Marquette Room on the third floor about five hours after the plus-size modeling tryouts had ended at 6 p.m. No one was injured, police said.

The victims escaped from the duct tape less than 10 minutes after the men fled and called 911. Police said investigators were reviewing hotel surveillance footage Monday.

The robbers, fled on foot from the hotel at 720 S.

This data coupled with the latest results indicate that like Piaba, Tatajuba is open along strike and at depth. The current drilling program is being conducted to provide additional data for a new resource and reserve estimate for Tatajuba."

Dr Haggan continues, "The gold results from BRAZD-239 are significant in that they confirm that mineralization extends at depth and remains open. Former Naperville lawyer Glink dies

Marvin Glink made his mark on every level of municipal law.

Whether it was in Naperville, as his firm represented the municipality during the 1960s to '70s timeframe, or through his activities in the International Municipal Lawyers Association, Glink approached life by being all-giving to every person.

"He did give back to others," said Glink's wife, Peg. "In Naperville, he started as a charter member of the Rotary-Sunrise Club and was very active in that. Then when we moved to Arizona he became active here. He has just been involved in one project after another in his life, in all types of charitable organizations."

Glink, a former Naperville resident, died Feb. 7 in Rio Verde, Ariz., at age 79. Glink, who received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and his law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law, was an original partner in what is now known as the Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCanni and Krafthefer firm.

What's the best way to improve developing world health?

Ensure two square meals a day," suggests Mushtaque Chowdhury, director of the research and evaluation commission of the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee. "I believe for the poorest food is the most effective first intervention for health improvement."

Ugandan television reporter Rosebell Kagumire suggests educating women is key.

"An educated woman will know what a child needs to eat for nutritional purposes, and their income level is mostly higher than that of illiterate mothers," he says.

Others are more political, calling for free trade to enhance household incomes in poor countries or even outright revolution to bring in governments with greater commitment to uplifting the poor.

Liberian health minister Walter Gwenigale says he knows what would make a real difference in his country -- and it is the one thing Western donors will not fund.

Illinois gunman's deadly rampage baffles many who knew him; police had ...

If there is such a thing as a profile of a mass murderer, Steven Kazmierczak didn't fit it: outstanding student, engaging, polite and industrious, with what looked like a bright future in the criminal justice field.

And yet on Thursday, the 27-year-old Kazmierczak, who had ties to Florida, armed himself with three handguns and a brand-new pump-action shotgun he had carried onto campus in a guitar case. He stepped from behind a screen on the stage of a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University and opened fire on a geology class, killing five students before committing suicide.

University Police Chief Donald Grady said, without giving details, that Kazmierczak had become erratic in the past two weeks after he had stopped taking his medication. But that seemed to come as news to many of those who knew him, and the attack itself was positively baffling.
